Program Itinerary of the 5 Day Desert Tour from Tangier

Day 1Tangier - Chefchaouen

On the first day of your unique 7-day Morocco tour from Tangier, we will pick you up from the airport, port, or hotel in Tangier. First, we will explore some important sights in Tangier like Cap Spartel (the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean) and Hercules Cave. Following, we will drive to Chfchaouen (the blue city) via the Rif mountains.
On our arrival, you can explore the beautiful Medina of Chefchaouen and take unique pictures of its blue streets. At the end, you check in at your hotel and spend the first night of your 7-day tour from Tangier in a hotel or Riad.

Day 2Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

The second day of our 7-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech will take us from Chefchaouen to Fes. On our way, we will see the famous Roman ruins. Volubilis is the most well-preserved Roman ruin in Morocco. In addition, we will learn about the historical archeological site of Morocco.
Following our tour of the ruins, we will also go to Meknes, a 17th-century city, for lunch and to see the medieval walls of Medina, including Bab el Mansour and the Moulay Ismail tomb.
The city of Meknes is one of the Four Imperial Cities in Morocco, which means that it was the capital of Morocco in the 17th century. Finally, after touring Meknes, we will travel directly to Fes, where you will spend the evening in a hotel or Riad at the end of the second day of your Morocco Tour from Tangier.

Day 3Explore Fes Medina with a local Guide

Today, you will have a guided tour of the medina and the famous Souks of Fes, as well as its narrow cobblestone roads crammed with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets and the distinctive Andalusian architecture in every area of the old city and its monuments.
We will also ensure that you visit all sites of cultural and historical significance, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University. The excursion will also include stops at traditional Moroccan tanneries and a pottery cooperative. Finally, we will head to your accommodation in the Medina of Fes on day 3 of your 7-day trip from Tangier.

Day 4 Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Merzouga Desert

On the fourth day of our 7-day Morocco tour from Tangier, we will leave Fes city and drive south to Azrou via Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) and the Middle Atlas Mountains,
stopping to photograph barbarian apes in a cedar grove.
After lunch, we will resume our journey to the Sahara Desert via the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani. By the time we arrive, you will start a short journey on the camel to your luxury desert camp with dinner and breakfast.

Day 5Explore Merzouga Desert

After breakfast in the camp and a camel trek back to Merzouga, you will start your journey of exploring the Merzouga desert, driving through the desert in a 4×4 vehicle. We will also have the opportunity to visit a nomadic family close to the borders between Morocco and Algeria before we head to the village of dark-skinned people, originally slaves from Sudan, listen to Gnaoua music, and experience their lifestyle. Overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 6 Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Todra Canyon - Dades Valley

On Day 6 of your 7-Day Morocco Desert Tour from Tangier, we will start the journey to Dades Gorges via Rissani, the foundation of the current ruling family and the place for caravan routes during the old ages. Following, we will drive by the City of Fossils Erfoud, where you can visit one of the museums of fossils.
