Day 1 Arrival in Casablanca

Your 10-day Morocco tour begins with a pickup from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca, the country’s economic hub and largest city. The highlight of the day is a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, Morocco’s largest mosque, beautifully situated on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. After some free time for lunch, explore the city’s vibrant atmosphere, including a stroll along the scenic Corniche of Casablanca. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen [340 Km]

After breakfast, travel along the coastline to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and one of its four imperial cities. Explore its key landmarks, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the historic Kasbah of the Oudayas. Following a leisurely lunch, continue the journey north through Ouazzane to reach Chefchaouen, the famed “Blue City” nestled in the Rif Mountains. Wander its picturesque blue-and-white streets before settling in for the night at a hotel.

 

Day 3Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes [260Km]

Start the day with a relaxed morning exploring the charming alleyways of Chefchaouen. Later, travel to the remarkable Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved mosaics, grand archways, and ancient pillars. From there, head to Meknes, often called the “Ismaili capital” of Morocco. Visit key sites such as Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Conclude the day with a drive to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 4Explore Fes with a Local Guide

This day of our 7-day Morocco tour from Casablanca is to explore the highlights of Fes City with a local guide. The city is considered one of the imperial cities, besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.
Firstly, we start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate and Jewish quarter, also known as “the Mellah.” Afterward, we will go to the panoramic view to see the three parts of the Medina, then to the ceramic factories. The well-preserved medieval Medina of Fes is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Following, you go on a walk with the local guide to visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the tanneries. And finally, the Quaraouin mosque and university- the latter is the oldest still-functioning university in the world. Also, you will have time for lunch in. the Medina. Finally, return to your Riad.

Day 5Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga [470 km]

After breakfast, we head south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, known for its cool climate, snowfall, and houses with alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” Next, we stop at the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. Feel free to interact with and feed the monkeys while enjoying a walk in nature.

Continuing the journey, we arrive in Midelt, where you’ll have free time for lunch. Afterward, we drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and follow the scenic Ziz Valley, making stops along the way for breathtaking panoramic views. Day 6Exploring Merzouga – Nomads – Eyeliner Mine – Khamlia (Gnawa Village) – Erg Chebbi – Desert Camp

An early morning wake-up is recommended to witness the stunning sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, you can return to Merzouga by 4×4, camel, or ATV (extra cost), where your driver will be waiting.

Today is dedicated to exploring the fascinating Merzouga region, known for its sand dunes, seasonal lake, fossil sites, and lush oases—perfect for outdoor activities. We start with an off-road drive to visit an old eyeliner mine, then head to a nomadic family, where you’ll experience their traditional way of life while sipping Berber tea.

Next, we visit Khamlia village, home to the Gnawa people, originally from countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy a live Gnawa music performance with traditional dancing. Afterward, have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, take a relaxing walk through a palm grove, a modern desert oasis, before heading to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you will ride camels into the golden desert, stopping atop a high dune to watch the magical sunset. Finally, arrive at your luxury desert camp, a perfect blend of traditional nomadic tents and modern comfort. Enjoy Berber music and drumming around a campfire under a vast sky full of stars. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.

Day 7Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley [310 km]

After breakfast, we leave the Sahara Desert and head to Rissani, an old trading center and the former capital of Tafilalet. The town’s lively souk (market) is especially vibrant on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring the market, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble.

Next, we pass through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, on our way to the Todra Gorges. Over thousands of years, the Todra River has carved a spectacular canyon through the mountains, making it a popular spot for rock climbers. Feel free to walk around and admire the stunning scenery. After some free time for lunch, we continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we stop at the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the valley.

Day 8Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura Palm Groves – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech [350 km]

After breakfast, we continue towards Kalaat M’Gouna, the heart of the Rose Valley. This region is famous for its annual Rose Festival in May, where locals sell rose-based products like perfumes and oils. We then drive through the Skoura palm groves, an area rich in date palm trees and traditional kasbahs.

Our next stop is Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here, we visit the film studios, where famous movies like Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones were filmed. Then, we head to the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village that has been the backdrop for many Hollywood productions.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we continue our journey across the High Atlas Mountains, driving through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2,260m altitude). We stop for lunch and take breaks for photos at scenic viewpoints before arriving in Marrakech.
